Bal Run

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2026. Read these before running a report. Pressing Run means you accept them.

1. What this is

Bal Run is a software tool that gathers publicly available blockchain data about an address you submit, organises it into a report, and compares totals against balances reported by public nodes. It is an information tool. It is not an accounting service, an audit, or a statement of fact about your affairs.

2. No warranty of any kind

The service and every report are provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults, and without any warranty whatsoever — express, implied, or statutory — including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Words such as "reconciled", "to the wei", "exact", "complete" or "PASS" describe the outcome of an automated arithmetic check against third-party data at a moment in time; they are not a guarantee that the report is correct, complete, or suitable for any purpose.

3. Errors are yours to find

Reports can and do contain errors: missing transactions, duplicated transactions, wrong classifications, wrong fees, wrong prices, wrong dates, wrong balances, and mistakes we have not thought of. Blockchain explorers, public nodes and data providers we rely on can be wrong, late, incomplete or unavailable, and we do not control them. You are solely responsible for checking every figure against the blockchain and against your own records before relying on it. If you do not want to do that, do not use the service.

4. Not advice

Nothing produced by the service is financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, and nothing is a recommendation to do or not do anything. Tags, categories, labels and descriptions are automated guesses. Do not file a tax return, prepare accounts, make an investment decision, or make any other decision on the basis of a report without independent verification by a qualified professional.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall have no liability whatsoever to you or to anyone else for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with the service or any report — including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, savings, data or goodwill; tax, penalties, interest or fines; costs of professional advice; or any loss caused by errors, omissions, delays, interruptions, or reliance on any content — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, and even if we were advised of the possibility of such loss.

If, notwithstanding the above, we are found liable, our total aggregate liability for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific report giving rise to the claim, and shall be zero for any report provided free of charge.

6. The "reconciles or it's free" guarantee

Where a paid report is offered with a guarantee that chains with a public archive node reconcile to the wei, your sole and exclusive remedy if a chain does not is a refund of the price paid for that report. The guarantee is a statement about the arithmetic check described in section 2, not a warranty of correctness, and it does not extend to chains without a public archive node, to tokens or NFTs, to classifications, or to anything else.

7. Payment

Paid reports are unlocked by sending the amount shown, in USDC or ETH, to the address shown on the report page, on one of the chains listed there. Blockchain payments are irreversible. Funds sent in another asset, on another chain, to another address, or as bridged/wrapped variants of USDC may not be detected and cannot be returned. The USD price is fixed; the ETH amount is a quote at the moment shown and is refreshed; a payment worth at least 99% of the price at the time it confirms is accepted. Over-payments are not refunded. Refunds, where the guarantee in section 6 applies, are made in the asset and on the chain the payment arrived in, to the address it came from, less network fees.

8. Your responsibilities and indemnity

You confirm that you are entitled to look up the addresses you submit and that your use is lawful where you are. You will not use the service to harass, surveil, or harm anyone, to overload or interfere with it, or to resell it without our written agreement. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your reliance on a report, or your breach of these terms.

9. Data

Addresses you submit are public blockchain identifiers and are used to produce your report; reports and the raw data behind them are stored so you can come back to your link, and may be deleted after a period without notice. Report links are unguessable but not secret: anyone you give a link to can open it. We do not ask for, and you must not send us, private keys, seed phrases or exchange credentials. If a feature accepts an extended public key, that key is used only for the duration of the run and is not stored.

10. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, rate-limit or discontinue the service, any feature, or these terms at any time without notice. We may refuse or cancel any run. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the change.

11. Exclusions that the law does not allow

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force and that part is applied to the maximum extent the law allows.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [England and Wales], and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
